Job Description
Recruiting for a dedicated Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join the team of a welcoming Primary School in Romford working with KS1/KS2 children.
For the role you will be supporting children with ASD, and we are looking for someone who brings patience, creativity and genuine enthusiasm to the role.
September 2026 - Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.30pm (Term time only)
Special Need Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
* Supporting KS1/KS2 children.
* Using a proactive, fun and engaging approach to learning.
* Being firm but fair, helping the children understand routines and expectations.
* Assisting with sensory activities, regulation strategies and learning tasks.
* Delivering structured interventions such as Lego Therapy
* Working closely with teachers and SENCO
* Helping children build confidence, independence and communication skills.
