AWS Global Connectivity and Network Availability (GCNA) is the backbone that connects the global AWS network. GCNA controls the internet traffic that lets users reach their information and applications no matter where they are in the world. This role sits on GCNA Capacity Engineering(GCNA-CE) Automation β a builder team responsible for the tools and services that grow AWS internet and backbone capacity. We own global backbone and internet capacity delivery operations across a large footprint of external peers, internet capacity, Congo and metro long-haul systems, and backbone paths. Our mission is to scale capacity-deployment mechanisms ahead of customer demand so that every business at Amazon β all of which rely on the network running smoothly β can depend on it
