Job Description
Lead the next generation of skilled trades at Six Nations Polytechnic as a Skilled Trades Instructor. Engage with students in both classroom settings and workshops to shape their careers in this hands-on educational role.
Reporting to the Associate Dean, you'll provide academic leadership in trades education, focusing on curriculum development and student assessment. Key responsibilities include delivering workshops, assessing learners, and coordinating work placements aligned with industry standards. Foster an inclusive learning environment while adhering to values consistent with Indigenous knowledge and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and implement curriculum aligned with program objectives
• Assess student progress and provide support for learning success
• Coordinate and monitor student work placements in the industry
• Maintain compliance with health and safety standards in the shop
• Support daily operations and resource management of the program
