Summary of Duties
Reporting to the Manager of Sunnybrook Canadian Simulation Centre (SCSC) and Library Services, the Simulation Project Lead is a leader, consultant, educator, project manager, program coordinator, and innovator. This role is responsible for advancing simulation best practices, patient safety, and quality evidence‑based care in education across the organization and beyond under the Education Portfolio.
In collaboration with the SCSC Manager, the Simulation Project Lead operationalizes and oversees educational, outreach, research, and innovation initiatives for novice to expert practitioners both within and external to SHSC, with a particular focus on the implementation, advancement, and evaluation of immersive and emerging technologies, including Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Extended Reality (XR), and Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI).
