Job Overview

Reporting to the Logistics Manager, as the Shift Supervisor, Operations you will support the Yard Manager to load and unload trucks, packaging, and stackers according to the schedule, organize people in the yard, and provide guidance and train staff. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising staff with loading and unloading of trucks as well as packaging and stacking. Ensuring daily activities comply with operational standards for production, productivity, quality, and customer service. 
  • Organizing, monitoring, and maintaining workflow and work processes, identifying opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
  • Communicating job expectations to staff and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results to achieve assigned results.
