Job Description
Teach Indigenous Studies at the University of Saskatchewan as a Sessional Lecturer in the Winter 2027 term. Contribute to community-based learning on Moosomin First Nation through live lectures.
The Department of Indigenous Studies is looking for a Sessional Lecturer to teach INDG 216.3, “The Presence of the Past in Contemporary Indigenous Life.” This position requires expertise in critical Indigenous issues and history, alongside experience in fostering inclusive learning environments. Applicants are encouraged to bring their unique perspectives and commitment to Indigenous knowledge practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver live lectures and facilitate discussions on course materials
• Develop course content in consultation with faculty
• Engage with students in reciprocal learning practices
• Mark assignments and provide constructive feedback
• Coordinate with staff regarding class logistics
