Job Description
Overview
Currently seeking a service writer to work in a heavy equipment repair environment.
Duties
- Providing administrative support to service department
- Scheduling service and ensuring efficient process for field/shop repairs completed by technicians
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulation
- Making sure mechanics have clear understanding of scope of work/time allotted for repairs
- Ensuring required parts are in place, working with parts department
- Supporting mechanics/technicians to perform proper technical descriptions and writing
- Processing of work orders and ensuring timely close off of work orders
- Ensuring customers are informed and updated on repair processes, costs, and delivery of service
