Senior Ubuntu Embedded IoT System Engineer – Taipei, Taiwan

Canonical is hiring a Senior Ubuntu Embedded IoT System Engineer to develop and optimize Ubuntu for IoT hardware, working with silicon and OEM partners.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance the Ubuntu operating system for embedded IoT devices.
• Integrate and debug hardware platforms, including silicon partners and OEM hardware.
• Write and maintain device drivers, bootloader code, and hardware bring‑up scripts.
• Perform system‑level testing and performance tuning on target devices.
• Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and product teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Travel internationally as required to conduct site visits, partner meetings, and onsite testing.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience with Linux system development and embedded systems.
