The Role
The Senior Sustaining Engineer acts as a technical escalation point for field and service teams, partnering closely with R&D, product management, quality, and customer support organizations to diagnose issues, implement corrective actions, and maintain product performance in the field.
Job Responsibilities
Serve as Level 3 technical escalation for complex product and system issues impacting customers or field service teams
Investigate product failures and field issues using structured root cause analysis methodologies
Work closely with R&D engineering teams to identify design-related issues and implement corrective actions
Drive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to resolve recurring product or system issues
Support engineering change processes including design updates, firmware revisions, and product improvements
