Quantity / Senior Quantity Surveyor - Civils / Construction Exp
Preston
£50,000 - £65,000 + Car Allowance over £6.5K
We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor who is looking for their next step into Senior Surveying or an experienced Senior Surveyor. You will have either a Construction or Civils background. The Contractor works in the Civils sector; Rail, Water and Projects (Construction).
Main Duties of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
·Support and mentoring of junior staff.
·Maximise profitability on contracts.
·Monitoring contract costs against budgets.
·Identifying potential risks and evaluate options for control.
·Preparation of estimates.
·Procurement of sub-contractors, including preparation of subcontract documents.
·Assessment and certification of interim and final payments to subcontractors.
