About this opportunityCenovus Energy is seeking a Senior Production Engineer/Technologist to optimize the performance of approximately 50 SAGD well pairs in North America’s leading SAGD operations. The role is a highly motivated, technically strong engineer who will influence day‑to‑day operations and long‑term strategic initiatives in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
What you’ll doOptimize production and reservoir conformance for ~50 SAGD well pairs, including designing completions and managing ESP performance.
Develop operating strategies such as ESP setpoints, steam/gas injection rates, and pressure targets while ensuring high‑quality data from well tests and operating data.
Support new well pad completions designs and operating strategies.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (Completions & Well Servicing, Operations, Process Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, Geology) to identify and execute value‑add opportunities.
