Job Description
- Lead the sourcing and price negotiation for frozen poultry and seafood commodities.
- Monitor global protein pricing, supply trends,and market intelligence to make proactive buying decisions.
- Perform SKU and customer rationalization analysis (profitability banding, cash flow modeling, and MOQ structuring) to drive business profitability.
- Review and verify critical trade documentation prior to shipping or inventory acceptance.
- Coordinate directly with freight forwarders and shipping agents for seamless customs declaration, clearance, and resolving import exceptions.
- Oversee end-to-end trade finance processes including Bill of Lading tracking, CAD/bank collections, MT103 payments, and container release-on-trust requests.
- Evaluate supplier credit terms, monitor warehouse/storage costs, verify 3PL/haulier invoices, and strategically prioritize supplier payments alongside the Finance team.
