Job Description
The Senior Officer, Rail Flaw Detection is responsible for extending rail life by maintaining the rail test frequencies, operational excellence of the units and the quality of rail testing. The role oversees site visits across CN’s network to carry out rail flaw detection, audits, and procedures. Furthermore, the position is accountable for detailed investigations of in-service rail failures and segments of rail experiencing rapid deterioration. The incumbent develops the initial strategy on how to optimize rail testing frequencies to ensure its effective and efficient operation across Canada and the United States (
