Job Tasks and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, the Senior Mining Engineer's key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Developing drill prep plans, drill patterns, loading and blast timing designsMonitor and manage blast environmental impacts like vibration, fume and airblastOptimising and improving drill and blast processes by incorporating a reconciliation process to capture learningsMaintain statutory compliance and site safety standardsLiaise with different stakeholders; operations, production engineers and survey to ensure efficient coordination between different processesAct as a role model within the Technical Services team providing mentoring and coaching support to the team as requiredContribute to a culture of continuous improvementSkills and Experience
