Senior Financial Institutions Underwriter

Markel’s European Underwriting team in Madrid is looking for a Senior Financial Institutions Underwriter to grow the Financial Institutions portfolio across Spain, Portugal, and Italy.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and grow the Financial Institutions book of business profitably within the dedicated region
• Establish, develop, and expand broker and customer relationships
• Extend and consolidate our footprint as a recognized insurance partner by assessing, proposing, and negotiating insurance conditions for large and midsize projects, with a primary focus on Liability
• Work closely with the Madrid team regarding clients and brokers
• Assess risks, coverage, terms, and conditions, driving related underwriting processes
