Job Description
THE ROLE
The purpose of the Estimator is to prepare accurate, competitive, and well-documented construction estimates and proposals that support Thorpe’s business objectives. Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, the Estimator plays a critical role in the pre‑construction process by assessing project scope, risks, and costs to support informed bidding and pricing decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Attendance of on-site pre-bid meetings, able to measure up jobs needed for quotations
- Request pricing from subcontractors and vendors
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering
- Maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors
- Attend industry functions and courses
WHAT YOU NEED
- 3+ years experience in ICI roofing estimating (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, and cladding systems as per (RCABC requirements)
