- Lead the environmental assessment and evaluation of the project area.
- Conduct and supervise Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) studies.
- Identify potential environmental risks and impacts associated with proposed flood control and river basin interventions.
- Develop environmental management and mitigation measures.
- Prepare environmental reports and support permit and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Design and recommend environmental monitoring programs.
- Evaluate ecosystem, water quality, land use, and biodiversity considerations within the project area.
- Coordinate with regulatory agencies and stakeholders on environmental concerns and compliance matters.
- Integrate environmental sustainability considerations into the flood control master plan.
