We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Maidenhead from 7th September. This is a full-time position, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 3:30pm, supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The school caters for pupils who are predominantly non-verbal and have a range of complex learning and communication needs. As part of the role, you will work closely with teachers and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality support, helping pupils to engage with learning, develop independence and reach their individual potential in a safe, structured and nurturing environment. You will need to be confident in supporting pupils with challenging behaviour and able to use positive strategies to de-escalate situations calmly and effectively.
