Overview
SEND Teaching Assistant Secondary SEND School (Brixton)
We are currently recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to work full time in a specialist SEN secondary school based in Brixton , supporting students aged years .
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate SEND TA who has experience working with autistic students and supporting learners with social and communication needs .
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting students with Autism and associated social, emotional and communication needs
- Providing 1:1 and small group support across the secondary age range
- Assisting with literacy and phonics interventions
- Using PECS and Makaton to support communication
- Implementing strong behaviour management strategies
- Supporting students with personal care when required
