Job Description
3‑4 months contract with a local authority.
Job Purpose
To manage and coordinate a caseload of children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), ensuring full compliance with statutory requirements under the Children and Families Act 2014 and the SEND Code of Practice (2015). The role focuses on Preparing for Adulthood (PfA) and post‑16/18 transitions, ensuring effective planning, delivery, and review of Education, Health and Care (EHC) processes to achieve positive outcomes.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
- Manage a high‑volume caseload (approximately 200 cases) independently, ensuring all statutory duties and service standards are met.
- Coordinate the full EHC needs assessment, planning and review processes, including drafting, issuing and amending EHC Plans within statutory time‑scales.
