SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Behaviour Support - Oswaldtwistle
Start Date: Immediate
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Contract Type: Ongoing
Veritas Education is seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a primary-aged pupil in Oswaldtwistle. The role involves helping the child regulate emotions, remain engaged in learning, and access the curriculum in a supportive and structured way.
The pupil experiences:
Short periods of engagement with learning activities
Episodes of heightened emotions, including vocal outbursts
Difficulty remaining in the classroom for extended periods, benefiting from movement and sensory breaksWe are looking for someone who can:
Use calm, supportive de‑escalation techniques
Redirect focus and guide the child back to a regulated state
Provide sensory activities, structured breaks, and time away from the classroom when required
