Teaching Personnel are recruiting for a confident, resilient, and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist secondary school in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about helping young people with additional needs succeed both academically and personally.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work within small classes, supporting students aged 11–16 with a wide range of special educational needs.
You will play a vital role in supporting pupils' learning, behaviour, and emotional development. The role involves working 1:1 and in small groups, implementing Individual Learning Plans (ILPs), and providing consistent pastoral and behavioural support.
Due to the needs of the pupils, you must be confident in managing challenging behaviours and be willing to support with personal care where required. A calm, adaptable, and proactive approach is essential.
