Job Description
Overview
Tradewind Recruitment is seeking dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistants to work across specialist provisions and schools throughout Sheffield on a supply basis.
Role
- Support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs both inside and outside the classroom.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to encourage engagement and personal development.
- Assist teachers in delivering lessons and adapting learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Support the implementation of behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies.
- Deliver one‑to‑one and small group interventions.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, pastoral teams, and other professionals to support pupil progress.
