Security Barrier Technician
Purpose and Scope: The purpose of this position is to perform the full range of inspections, maintenance, repair and operation of all assigned security barrier equipment that physically supports airfield operations, base facilities and security posts.
Essential Responsibilities: Maintain and adhere to applicable technical orders and good commercial practices for all maintenance actions including ordering parts; installing, programming, calibrating, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing barriers and barrier operational systems. Perform recurring scheduled preventive maintenance and non-recurring maintenance as required. Daily maintenance includes managing hazardous materials and ensuring environmental compliance. Maintenance may include complete replacement of barrier systems.
