Weekday Scheduling and Planning for a Manufacturing Plant

Reporting to the plant manager, the production planner is an integral part of the label manufacturing process. The planner is responsible for ensuring that, when orders arrive at the site, the materials needed to produce the finished product are available. The planner also coordinates orders so that all production lines run smoothly, with as little downtime as possible.

Responsibilities and Tasks

• Manage order processing workflows for production.
• Plan and schedule all production orders to meet commitments.
• Possess strong logical reasoning skills.
• Assist with inventory tasks as needed to fulfill received orders.
• Help maintain material inventory levels at or below agreed-upon targets.
• Work closely with production to optimize efficiency.
