Job Description
As a Sample Preparation Technician, you will play a vital role in preparing and processing incoming samples for microbiological testing, ensuring accuracy in labeling, tracking, and handling in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs). Your efforts will support the laboratory workflow, maintaining a smooth and efficient testing schedule.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare and process incoming samples for microbiological testing.
+ Ensure samples are accurately labeled, tracked, and handled according to SOPs.
+ Support laboratory workflow to keep testing on schedule.
+ Calibrate scales and other equipment as needed.
+ Perform environmental sponge swabbing.
+ Stock laboratory and sample preparation room supplies.
+ Complete routine plate count activities.
+ Turn on and monitor water baths.
+ Perform routine daily lab aid tasks.
