The Sample Prep Technician prepares samples for analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples, following established microbiological techniques and approved methodologies in a microbiology testing laboratory.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare samples for microbiological and chemistry analysis according to established laboratory procedures and standard operating protocols.
+ Apply aseptic techniques consistently to prevent contamination and ensure the integrity of all samples.
+ Maintain laboratory media and reagents, including preparation, labeling, storage, and monitoring of expiration dates.
+ Perform cleaning and sanitation of the work area, equipment, and glassware to uphold laboratory hygiene and safety standards.
