Job Description
Roofer Helper
Location: Henry Avenue, Sidney, BC V8L 2A8.
Full‑time, permanent position. Salary: $25 per hour.
Duties
- Load and unload construction roofing materials, and move materials to work areas
- Set up scaffolding and remove old roofing debris
- Assist roofers in construction activities such as laying down materials like asphalt, shingles, or metal roofing
- Feed equipment to roofers, such as operating pneumatic nailers, saws, and mixers
- Assist in demolishing roofs using prying bars and other tools, and sort, clean and pile salvaged materials
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment
- Operate tools as directed
- Clean up construction site
- Follow safety regulations, oil equipment, and maintain tools
- Perform other activities at construction sites as directed
