Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Coordinates the administrative and clinical activities for the nursing department for a designated shift.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
+ Supports and demonstrates practice consistent with the mission, philosophy, standards, policies and procedures of St. Luke Health Services.
+ Must possess a positive attitude and the ability to deal with staff, residents, family members, visitors and the general public in a professional manner.
+ In the absence of the Director/Assistant Director of Nursing, evaluates and directs the resident care.
+ Assumes the duties of charge/medication/treatment nurse in emergency situations.
+ May discipline staff after consultation with Nurse Manager/ ADON/DON regarding disciplinary action.
+ Gives concise, accurate, qualitative report from your shift to the oncoming supervisor.
+ Ensures that all nursing service personnel are following their respective job descriptions.
