Job Description
The RN β Infection Control Specialist is responsible for the coordination, development, implementation, and monitoring of an infection control program and/or employee health program. The RN β Infection Control Specialist is responsible for coordinating programs designed to detect, evaluate and minimize risks of acquired infections to patients, employees and visitors. The RN β Infection Control Specialist supports and acts as a resource to administration, medical staff, and all hospital or clinic services.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Current licensures as a Registered Nurse in the state of assignment required
+ Bachelorβs Degree in Nursing preferred
+ Three to five (3-5) yearsβ experience in employee health or infection control preferred
+ Infection Control Certification preferred
+ Knowledge of state, federal and JC regulations
+ Current CPR if applicable
+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
