Title: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentice
Reports to: Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic
Job Summary: Under the general direction of the Mechanical Services Manager, the Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic’s main responsibility is to diagnose and complete repairs on all company heavy equipment.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform all needed maintenance activities for all construction fleet vehicles, including rock trucks, bulldozers, excavators, graders, backhoes, forklifts and trucks.
- Assist in running a clean, safe and professional shop.
- Perform fleet maintenance in the shop and sometimes on the mountain.
- Weld non‑critical components.
- Assist with part sourcing and purchasing.
