Position Summary
Reporting to the City Solicitor, the Risk Manager is responsible for providing the City of Regina (Corporation) with risk management services which include identifying, evaluating and developing mitigation strategies relative to risks that may impair the Corporation’s ongoing business. Specifically reducing the exposure of the corporation through appropriate mitigating actions, evaluating insurance needs, and acquiring sufficient insurance to protect the corporation against potential losses, and recommending pro‑active policies and procedures to reduce the Corporation's exposure to risks and losses.
The Risk Manager is also responsible for all claims for and against the Corporation pursuing recovery for damaged property; maintaining updated appraisal information of all insurable assets; and, carrying out and supervising risk management inspections of all municipally owned properties.
