Role Overview
Research, pitch, and develop content in line with news programs’ mandates and corporate standards and policies.
Key Tasks
- Keep up with current events and build a network of contacts aligned with the program mandate.
- Maintain and update the upcoming‑events calendar and contact database.
- Evaluate potential story topics. Attend story meetings. Suggest story ideas/angles and potential guests. Help draft scripts for reports as assigned.
- Research, gather, evaluate, and vet all information for covered stories. Select relevant text, audio and visual materials. As required, select and clip audio/video segments. Provide context/data for accompanying graphics....
