DEPARTMENT: REHABILITATION POSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUND UNION AFFILIATION: OPSEU – SERVICE STATUS: PART-TIME, TEMPORARY (APPROX. END DATE OCTOBER 2027) REASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENT WAGE RATE: $37.071 - $38.157
Reporting to the Manager of Rehabilitation and District Stroke Services, the responsibility of the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) is the assessment and care of, and the treatment of health conditions by therapeutic and supportive means to Rehabilitative patients in order to attain or maintain optimal function. Care is provided to support patients and families within an inter‑professional context with a large focus on patient specific goals and family participation. Rehabilitation is dedicated to improving, maintaining or restoring physical strength, cognition and mobility with maximized results. The RPN will work within the full defined professional scope of practice as set out by the CNO.
