DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to Manager of Staffing Resource Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for personal patient care, vital signs, physical assessment, administration of medications, monitoring IVs, monitoring telemetry, setting up medical equipment as appropriate and other duties as assigned. The RPN will participate as a member of the Float Pool, Multidisciplinary Team and the Nursing Team at the Bowmanville and Port Perry site on Healthy Aging program units. As an individual practitioner, the nurse will maintain competence and professionalism relevant to current practice. The nurse will be responsible for maintaining the health record according to hospital policy, procedure and standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (in good standing)
• Registered Practical Nurse Diploma from an accredited community college
