Job Description
Position: Regulated Pharmacy Technician – Long Term Care Operation
Location: Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Canada
Responsibilities
- Receive, transcribe and record verbal orders as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body
- Receive and initiate pharmacy prescription transfers as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body
- Check prescriptions for technical accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body
- Coordinate the pharmacy workflow
- Communicate operational requirements/changes to the pharmacy support staff
- Supervise inventory management
- Prescription assembly, refills, compounding
- Administrative duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks
