3-month contract position with a local authority Summary This is a 3-month contract position with a local authority, aimed at supporting efficient waste collection services. The role involves safely operating HGV vehicles and assisting with loading duties to ensure timely and compliant refuse collection. The position is crucial for maintaining high standards of health, safety, and customer service. Responsibilities Operate Class 2 HGV vehicles for the collection of refuse and recycling materials. Conduct daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicles are safe and roadworthy at all times. Use tachograph cards correctly and comply with driving hours and transport regulations. Collaborate with loaders to collect waste efficiently and safely along designated routes. Load and handle waste and recycling materials in line with council procedures.
