Recreation Programmer
Permanent Full‑time (Union) position.
Position Summary
The Recreation Programmer plans, implements, and evaluates recreation events and community activities that promote a healthy lifestyle for residents and visitors. The role develops programs that embrace diversity and inclusiveness, reflect community needs, and utilize available resources. The position reports directly to the Manager of Recreation and Culture.
Qualifications and Expectations
The Recreation Programmer: • demonstrates professionalism and sound judgment; • interacts positively with the public, staff, and community groups; • complies with all applicable Town policies, territorial regulations, and the Workers’ Safety and Compensation Act.
Wage Rate
$37.17 per hour.
Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays.
