Job Description
Recreation Aide
Optima Living offers Independent Living, Assisted Living, Supportive Living, Long‑Term Care, Brain Health and Memory Care across Alberta and British Columbia and seeks a Recreation Aide to support residents’ physical, social, emotional, intellectual, spiritual and cultural needs.
Responsibilities
- Engage residents through regular conversation
- Assist with program coordination and implementation
- Provide one‑on‑one support to residents
- Observe and report on resident care and services
- Assist with coordinating volunteers and community resources
- Collaborate with peers to coordinate activities
- Manage recreation equipment, including inventory and maintenance concerns
- Event and activity setup and cleanup
- Operate in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act
- Perform other duties as assigned to support operational requirements
