Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY Performs a variety of duties to prepare unit for cardiac catheterization or other invasive as well as non-invasive procedures. Prepares sterile trays for invasive procedures. Ensures all instrumentation/equipment for each procedure is presented on the table in the established fashion. Prepares patient for invasive diagnostic procedures. Provides support to the physician performing invasive Cardiovascular procedures. Ensures quality control of all equipment and performs special procedures involving the injection of intravenous contrast such as angiograms, coronary as well as peripheral biopsies, angioplasties, stenting, etc. Integrates well with physicians and nurses and has responsibility for emergency call.
