Job Description
Radiation Therapist – Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
Salary: $42.26 to $52.64 per hour (hourly rate currently under review).
Location: Sault Area Hospital, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The posting will remain active until filled.
Department Overview
Radiation Therapists have the opportunity to work in all areas of the program, including CT, simulation, and dosimetry. We have state‑of‑the‑art technology: Varian TrueBeam Machine and Philips CT Sim.
Key Function
- Ensure the safe and accurate delivery of radiation treatment and related services to patients as prescribed by a Radiation Oncologist.
Reporting
- Under the general direction of the Supervisor, Radiation Therapy.
Duties
- Deliver safe and accurate daily radiation treatments to patients by educating, preparing, and positioning for treatment, assessing verification images, and taking necessary corrective action.
