Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
Source and procure materials for new product development and existing operations
Plan, execute, and monitor purchasing activities, deliveries, and inventory levels
Liaise with production, stores, and suppliers on material planning, ordering, and delivery
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, quality, delivery, and payment terms to ensure cost efficiency
Identify cost-saving opportunities and source new suppliers when necessary
Manage supply issues, shortages, and ensure alternative sourcing plans are in place
Maintain and evaluate supplier performance, including audits and vendor management
Handle both direct and indirect purchasing, including services and subcontractors
Prepare reports and maintain accurate purchasing records and system updates
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies and relevant regulations (e.g. import/export)
