Sturgeon County is seeking an Assessor to join our Property Assessment Services team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with beginner to intermediate knowledge in industrial and regulated assessment valuation along with intermediate market valuation skills using CAMAlot valuation system. We welcome candidates at different stages of their careers, and appointments may be made at either the Assessment Technician (Assessor 1) or as an Assessor (Assessor 2) level, depending on qualifications and experience.
The Assessor is responsible for assisting in the application of established formulas to the information collected in field investigations and data verification to determine assessments for residential and commercial properties in accordance with the Municipal Government Act and its attached Regulations, and Ministerial Guidelines for regular, annual, and cyclical property reviews.
