Role Summary: The industrial designer is typically focused on the user experience, desirability, physical appearance, functionality, and manufacturability of a product, though they are often involved in far more during the development cycle. The designer brings specialized competencies to an interdisciplinary team as they attempt to find solutions for problems of form, function, usability, physical ergonomics, marketing and brand development, sustainability, and sales.
