Project Officer – Recycling of Silicon Solar Panels

Energy Research Institute @ NTU ( ) is a research‑intensive institute that integrates research across NTU schools to address energy challenges and translate findings into industrial practice. Under the SCARCE collaboration with CEA, focuses on recycling electronic waste, including silicon solar panels.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and provide periodic updates on hydrometallurgical approaches for recycling solar panel waste.
• Perform and optimize hydrometallurgical processing of solar grey mass at laboratory‑scale and large‑scale, including electrorecovery of valuable materials.
• Analyse metallic concentrations in leachate solutions and conduct material characterisation on residues or solar grey mass (e.g., ICP‑OES, SEM/EDX, particle size analyzer).
