Job Description
Position Summary:
Upward Bound is a pre-collegiate program. The Project Advisor provides academic advising, college and career counseling, study skills workshops, and oversees tutoring at specific target high schools to ensure program participants are served and enroll in institutions of post-secondary education. Upward Bound is grant funded through the U.S. Department of Education. This position is contingent on the renewal of grant funds.
Position Responsibilities:
+ Assist in the recruiting and selection of new Upward Bound participants
+ Enter and maintain database used by Upward Bound program, and aid in maintaining accurate student records
+ Visit target schools weekly to support Upward Bound participants with tutoring and academic strategies
+ Perform regular grade, attendance, and coursework submission checks on participants
