Position Summary:

• The Program Coordinator serves as a vital liaison between Kilgore College and Christus Health System in the implementation of the KC/Christus Nursing Apprenticeship (Nursing WORKS – Workforce-Oriented Readiness, Knowledge, and Structure).


• This innovative initiative integrates paid, work-based clinical experiences with academic requirements to prepare nursing students as safe, competent, workforce-ready graduates.
• The coordinator will work onsite at Christus facilities while also serving as Kilgore College nursing faculty, ensuring seamless alignment between academic and clinical objectives.
• The role involves direct oversight of student apprentices and nursing preceptors, support for preceptors, coordination of clinical scheduling, and continuous collaboration with academic and hospital leadership.
