Job Description
ROLE CONTEXT
VedantaZinc International (VZI) operates two major mining environments:
- Gamsberg (Open Pit) : Requires strong bench mapping, ore‑waste delineation, grade control drilling, structural interpretation and real‑time geological support to mining.
- Black Mountain Mine (BMM) : Includes Deeps & Swartberg underground orebodies and Swartberg open pit, requiring advanced face mapping, stope design input, ore drive interpretation and underground geological hazard identification.
The ProductionGeologist (D2) is essential to daily orebody understanding, grade control accuracy and geological support to mining operations. This role ensures that ore is correctly identified, sampled, routed and reconciled to deliver maximum value and minimise dilution and ore loss.
