Support the product design elements of new product development within the APQP process
Design support for the continuous improvement of current products.
Design resource during the ECR process
Support design innovation projects.
The following are tasks (including appropriate documentation) that may be required within new product design, continuous improvement and innovation projects:
Vehicle and/or part data procurement
Participate in concept design
System and component design including reviews
Procure and apply all relevant specifications
3D CAD models and drawing creation/revision (NX8, CATIA5)
Verification and/or validation of design through tolerance analysis, engineering calculations, prototypes, fit-ups, DVP&R management, product testing, etc.
