Job Description
Howmet Aerospace is recruiting a Process Engineer for a position in Whitehall, Michigan. The role is in Plant 5- Ti-Cast and will support the manufacture of Titanium castings through process control and improvement initiatives specific to the ceramics department, Monoshell® process.
Job Responsibilities
+ Drive standardized process management for slurry preparation and control, shell build, dewax, and mold inspection, using the scientific method and six sigma tools (training provided).
+ Develop a standardized manufacturing process with audit plans to reduce scrap and rework and to facilitate continuous improvement activities.
+ Work with BU Process owner to establish best practices as defined in BU MSAT manual, and report standardized process audits (MSAT status) monthly.
+ Act as a conduit between manufacturing and engineering to ensure that technology needs are communicated, and new technology is rapidly tested and implemented.
